A nice looking boat. Seems like it would be worth spending a few bucks on. Good luck!

Looking at the trailer,I bet you could unload the boat.Loosen the u bolts on the rear and center bunk brackets and slide them in a couple inches or so torward the center of the trailer. It might lift the hull enough just to get some weight off that roller. Or maybe some kind of spacer between the bunk and the bracket.
No need for it to set on that roller no longer than you have too.

Re: Is my boat properly seated on the trailer?

I'm still here guys! So I went to two marinas and got estimates to fix the hull and adjust the trailer. The first marina quoted $800-$2000 and the second quoted $2000-$3000. Either way it would takes weeks to fix the damage, so I decided to sell the boat. I sold it exactly what I bought it for, and I informed the new owner about the damage. It seems like he was a handy guy that could probably fix the damage and have a very nice boat!

Now I'm on a quest to find another boat that looked as good as that one with a similar price. I now have a better understanding of what kind of boats to look for.

I'd like to thank everyone once again for helping me on this issue. This forum is awesome! When the next boat comes along, I'll make sure to post pics and details!

I'm glad you came out smelling like a rose on that one. My Mother gave me my late Fathers bass boat 1 year ago. I was so thrilled. Then I found out it had a rotten transom. $1800 later she's as solid as the day she was built. I didnt know anything about boat construction then but with the help of the guys here I know a little more now. This is a great forum. Before ya buy again, post pics and ask questions here. I'm sure you will be steered in the right direction. Rudy.

Re: Is my boat properly seated on the trailer?

I finally got a new boat, and I also purchased a truck!

The boat is a 1988 Thundercraft Regency, with a 120HP I/O Mercruiser. I've taken it out over 5 times and it's been great! Thanks for all your help guys!
