73 as I post this @ 5:30 PM. The snow on Mt. Lassen is really pretty looking from my back deck, about 50 miles to the east.

It's supposed to be around 15 tomorrow and I'm going ice fishing for the first time. I'm not one for the cold so we'll see how this goes. I at least need a couple more months to get the pontoon done!

It is still winter here! Heck picked up another 6 inches of snow overnight to supplement the 5 feet we already have on the ground!

Re: Is it really still winter?

I had the pleasure of trying ice fishing yesterday. As soon as I got an access hole made and was just getting to rig up my bait some guy in a Florida Panther hockey jersey escorted me off the ice and threatened to call the police. Is there a special license I need?

Around here all that is required is a normal fishing license, nothing special about it, resident or non-resident depending on where you live.

In Florida the only place I could find the ice was at Bank Atlantic Center and they won't let me back in.

It so cold here in greater Detroit/Windsor area last night, that the Detroit River froze strait across from Canada to the US. Dosen't happen very often here. Maybe 2-3 days a year.

59 degrees, wind out of the north at 20 to 25 kts, seas 5 to 7 feet, intercoastal choppy, not a ray of sunshine, and I'm locked down. Think I'll have a beer and harass you guys. :D
