Re: is it possible?

Fix motors and boats for money????? I'd be absolutely floored if you managed to fix a couple big macs and some fries for money

Over the past year you have posted over 1000 times on this forum and a great many of those posts were about all the things that you were going to fix or do with your boat. To my knowledge in that time you haven't actually DONE ANYTHING.
Before you say it, ignoring the great advice and intentionally botching the "stringer" job on your Chrysler doesn't count.

Boy DO SOMETHING! You want money? GET A JOB ANYWHERE! Life isn't about flapping your gums and hoping to get paid for playing with toys. Knuckle down and LEARN while in school. Flip a few burgers after school and save the money to fix your boat RIGHT! Keep working and find the right deal on your next one. Sell the current one, probably, for less than you have in it at that point.

If you REALLY want to work on boats then while you are on your lunch break at McDonalds grab a paper and look for help wanted adds for marinas.

Re: is it possible?

I swore off SBL threads.

Then, I saw a glimmer of hope.

I'm dumb.

All the best smallboatlover.

All excelent points above - hope you read them and take them to heart SBL. What I will add - I do buy stuff, fix it up, and sell it quite often. Can you make some money at it - depends on what your time is worth. I would guess if I added all my time and divided it into all the profits from doing buy/sell projects over the last 10 years, I'd be at about 5 dollars an hour. Not a career path, not even enough to pay for food and gas. If you want to do it to learn motors and have a hobby to tinker with - go for it. But if you think it's a career move, forget about it.

Your best investment currently would be spending time to fix up the boat you own. Anything else and you'll be spending money before you make any.

Well, guys: I normally don't answer these posts because I see a lonely kid craving attention and not really wanting advice or help. SBL: Find a buddy to work on your boat with you. You might do better on Facebook.

When members here start multiple threads on the same topic, we close them. You've started a zillion threads on the same topic, and I'm closing them.
