Is it my Carburetor?

So I'm at a loss and google is failing me. I have a '99 Mercruiser 5.0. Last year I put a new starter in it and right after that the oil pressure switch went out. I jumped it and it ran the rest of the weekend. About a month later it wouldn't start again so I just assumed the Ignition module went out for a 3rd time so left it alone until this year.

So here I am now. I replaced the oil pressure switch and sender and ordered a new ignition module but that didn't solve my problem. It just turns over. If I pour some gas into the carb it will run for a second and then die again. I thought maybe it was the fuel pump but if I disconnect the line that feeds into the carb it will pump gas into a cup so the fuel pump seems to be fine. Is it my carb?

Howdy

With nothing more to go on it may very well be the carb. If the fuel comes out of the fuel line by the pump in a good stream then most likely it is the carb. If you pump the throttle and can see gas squirt down the carb then its not the carb, but probably bad gas or water.
