Re: Is it Me, Or is the boat underpowered?

Rememeber that when switching from a 3 blade to a 4 blade that dropping 1 pitch is considered equal, its not like switching from a 21 3 blade to a 19 3 blade. If you wanted a 20 4 blade you could use a merc prop which is available in a 20 4 blade

So it wouldn't make much difference is what it sounds like as it would only be 1 step difference technically since a blade is added? Sounds like I should go with the 19" and just watch the rpms which shouldn't be a problem as I cruise at 30 and ski only around 36 an all other water sports fall below these speeds usually. I had a topic posted in there as well and they too spoke of the 19" 14.25 but a always I like opinions from all range and i figured skiers could have helpful ones as well since you do it regularly and have experience with props and im new to it :)

Would sticking with 3 blades but going a step or two down change anything like a 3 blade 21 or 3 blade 19"?? Or is It more beneficial to go with 4 blades?
