are the rest of you whacked and totally pssst off by this time of the year.
We in S.A. have our annual vacations in December being the height of summer. Our business has a December year end and this year has been particularly hard. So our year is very much a calender Jan to Dec affair. Business does not get any easier year on year.
I am the Managing Director of a business and this year I had to deal with a "palace revolution". My ex Manufacturing Director (who got out ahead of the posse so to speak) went to my CEO in the U.K. with 15 odd allegations of mismanagement which concluded with a "if you need anyone to run the business when you can him (me) I will be happy to step in". They believed him and a one month investigation was launched into my conduct. All was misproved except for extended customer lunches that involved booze, custom and practice for the business and the country mind. Unfortunately when seeds of doubt are sown they are always believed, aaahh perceptions!!!!!
Well fortunately, I thought, the best way to answer critics is through perfomance. This year our bottom line will exceed budget by 62%. Out security is the best ever and our factories in the best shape they have been in for the past 7 years as is our quality. I am so proud of my guys, they have made me really look good.
Unfortunately this would appear to not be enough to to reverse these misconceptions AAARRRGGGHHH. This is really disappointing, I am tired ... real tired. Have booked three weeks in the Kruger National Park, perhaps that will revive me.
Disappointed with the system ......................
Thought I would share
Cheers
Andrew
