Forget microns. All filters are good and will definitely lasy a year.

If you are running a carbed engine with a mechanical fuel pump, I would agree with that. But if you have an electric fuel pump or EFI, you better stick with the 10 micron filters. Especially if you have an older boat. This new fuel cleans old tanks, and guess where it goes.
