i have been getting mail form them since mid 40's (57 now) never signed up but I think some of the discounts one might use would more than cover the $16 annual.

Mrs. Dingbat gets a free membership through work.

Have not seen anything special relating to discounts. Get better discounts and priority reservations through my hotel and travel locality clubs.

quick visit to AMAC website tells me no thanks.
Interesting. I've been a member for about 6 years. I read their mission. Wondering what part of their stance was not to your liking? Too much liberty? Excessive support of individual rights? Against rule of law, or free speech? Oh well, there's a top for every kettle I guess.

I don’t see this going anywhere but political. AARP and AMAC basically do the same thing but from opposite ends of the political spectrum. Do your research and figure out if either works for you. Both offer discounts for seniors, but a lot of those discounts are available elsewhere without the fee if you look hard enough. Both have their pluses and minuses. Good luck in finding what you need.

Out of an abundance of caution I will close this thread.
