Nice boat!
Not sure this answers your question but when replacing a failed component always best to:
  • Get an exact replacement (ie same make and model)
  • Take a lot of before pictures.
  • Have all power disconnected before starting.
  • Tag the wires as needed and or move wires one at a time, off the old and onto the new if space permits.
  • When ready to power back up, have an observer at the unit and be prepared to immediately turn back off the power if any issues.

The inverter was most likely not made by Boston Whaler.

Even if the inverter was part of the boat as delivered from Boston Whaler, the inverter was most likely a consumer or industrial off-the-shelf product, and not a product uniquely designed just for Boston Whaler.

If the inverter were added after the boat left the factory then the inverter is almost certain to be a consumer or industrial off-the-shelf product.

Typically a product like an inverter will have the manufacturer’s name, the model designation, and other information clearly displayed.

The simplest choice for replacement is to buy another inverter of the exact same configuration, and replace the old one with a new one.

You should contact the local Boston Whaler dealer. Ask if the inverter is covered under a remaining warranty. Ask if the dealer can get an identical replacement.

If you feel you are sufficiently skilled, qualified, capable, and willing to perform the replacement, be very careful. Working with large capacity storage batteries can be very dangerous.

Your boat probably cost about $600,000, so you might want to let the dealer do the work.
