Hi! My 1994 e175GLERA does not seem to be charging my batteries.
When jumped, the engine runs fine. Fished all weekend, towed another boat home.
I have run the engine for hours still no charge. Still needs a jump, then runs great.
My manual (you guys made me but the OEM manual of course ) suggests a number of potential causes including odd stuff like weak flywheel/stator magnets.
My question: What are the MOST LIKLEY causes and;
HOW LONG should it take for a properly functioning outboard to charge a depleted but still functional battery?
Thanks as always! Mac in Annapolis
