Was out fishing yesterday and boat wouldnt Start for awhile. I threw the anchor and was ready to call Tow Boat then I gave it another try and she started. When it wouldn’t start there was no noise at all, no cranking ,no clicking, nada! Got back to dock shut it off and tried it about 3 -5 times and it started. One of those times I took off kill switch clip ,the engine died as it should but when I put clip back on it wouldn’t start again. I tried raising the out board (2003 BF 130) but nothing . I had the key in the start position while I was checking things and when I closed the center console door the boat beeped and I quickly raised the engine. Almost seemed like a loose connection of some sorts or bad ground , I am just not sure and not a big DYI guy. I just put the boat in a few weeks ago and prefer not to pull her out, my nearest Honda tech is 20 miles away. Could it be the ignition switch or kill switch ? If ignition switch is bad would it kill power to the engine/trim. Any thoughts would be appreciated!!!
thanks

Almost like you answered your own question!!

Doubt it's the ignition switch or kill switch, just based on your post. I'd check the connections on the battery and anything between there and the engine to see if there's something loose or corroded.

Thanks . Sorry I forgot to mention that the ignition key has to be brought back a bit after starting , if not there is a humming noise . Not sure if it’s keeping the starter engaged or not.
