The unit is a Mercruiser 233, 1975 hydraulic trim sender and as far as I know it is no longer available. The gauge and related wiring are ok. The trouble is an intermittent potentiometer within the sender housing. Can the pot be accessed and chemically cleaned as one would normally do with a noisy control? crayguy
