Intermittent engine stalling

The engine is a 5.7 gi-d. I have put on a new fuel cell. Have good fuel pressure. Put on clear vinyl hose to see if there were bubbles and none except for a minute or two from what was in the tube when I hooked it up but they dissapeared after a minute. Engine ran fine for a few minutes, would rev up and idle fine. Let it idle for about 2-3 minutes and the engine died out. Line still had fuel in it. No Codes set according to my codemate. Gas tank is extremely hard to get at and I don't think it has an anti syphon valve on it. Attached is a pic of the fuel line going into the fuel tank. Any suggeestions as to what could be causing this?

Re: Intermittent engine stalling

Hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the high pressure pump and see what it does when the engine dies. NOTE: Fuel problems do not set codes.

Re: Intermittent engine stalling

Tried starting the engine but it would just run for a second. So I hooked up the pressure gauge to the fuel rail as you suggested Don and low and behold there was only about 15Psi. Just happened to unhook the high pressure pump and noticed the connector to the pump looked very corroded almost looked melted ( I have attached a picture). The connector looked the same as one on a chev fuel injector so I got one and wired it up. Turned the key on and I now have 55Psi, engine started and stayed running 15 minutes with no issues. I was not able to sea trial it, as was really rough out, but I think this has cured my problem. That being said, could this be causing the intermittent stalling and some backfiring? Just seems like too easy of a fix, but I'm crossing my fingers. Thanks for your help Don!
