Here's to hoping this solves my original beeping issue, Saturday is looking to be 90 degrees and perfect here in Mississippi..should be an excellent day on the lake.

Jeez. That’s been ran for a good while without water near it.

Well I have some embarrassing news. After getting to my hands and knees in the cockpit I made the unfortunate realization that the aftermarket depth finder somehow has the absolute same "beep" as the ignition/engine trouble beep. I only was able to realize that with my head in between the DF and the alarm while it was going off. Removed DF power and no beep for the whole weekend.

The good news is I basically replaced every sensor and wear item on the engine, so I'm confident it'll be a relatively trouble free summer. Sorry for the false alarm here, and very sorry to the next person who reads through this thread looking for a solution to an actual problem.

All good and thanks for closing the issue.
Maybe DF thinks its to shallow, they can normally be adjusted

If it makes you feel any better I went through the same issue a few years back. Bought a handyman's special with a cracked block, repowered it, first time in the water so of course I'm on edge about any noises etc..

Drop the boat in ... running perfectly no leaks... go past a navigational buoy where the depth drops from 13 down to 30 ish ft alarm goes off... cant figure out the alarm turnaround and head for home go past the buoy again alarm stops.... turn around again and head into deeper water...alarm goes off again, turn around and go in...

out of all the days for the water depth alarm to be default for deeper water.. Glad it worked out
