Interlux Perfection hiding characteristics

Hi All:
I'm currently in the process of restoring a dingy, using the Interlux method, using Epiglass Epoxy for a sealer, Epoxy Primecoat 404/414 primer, and finishing it all up with Interlux Perfection (white). I've got to the point of the final sand of the primer, and have a few areas where I've sanded the primer through to the epoxy, and have some epoxy poking through the (3) primer coats. Question is, is Perfection opaque enough to cover these off color spots, or will they show through after I've got the second coat on? Secondly, will the application directly to the bare epoxy spots cause me problems down the road with adhesion and lifting? I hate to buy another quart of primer at 30 bucks for a few spots, but also don't want to waste 60 bucks on the Perfection paint if it wont cover or peel In a season or two. Anyone with a similar, real-world, experience? I'd e-mail the manufacturer, but I know they'd say to buy another quart and re-prime those spots, surprise, surprise. Thanks for the help!

if it were mine i do it the cheap way now. and in 2 years have to spend $300 and have to do it all over again. thats just me, HARDHEADED. no spend the $30 and do it right the first time and spend the time in 2 years on the water, instead of sanding.

Ayuh,.......

That's what "Proper Preparation" is All About.......
I've got to the point of the final sand of the primer,
I think you Miscounted,............

The "Final Sanding",..... is just to slightly roughen the Primer for Top Coat.........

Your 3rd trip around your project was the Next to Final sanding.......

Personally,.........
I'd go-around 1 more time,..... Or Several More Times,....... If that's What It Takes...... ;)

Re: Interlux Perfection hiding characteristics

Thanks for the advice all! I decided to go ahead and get the extra quart of primer and touch up the bare spots. Being a cheap yankee, I justified it by using the leftover primer on a rudder with a chip taken out of the bottom. I'll see if I can upload photos of it when it's done. Like everyone else, I didn't take a "before" photo; oh well.
