I'm having problems using the roller and tip method on a fiberglass boat on vertical surfaces. Can't a smooth surface going by all prep and info on the Interlux web site. Has anyone tried hvlp or airless on this paint, and what kind of results.

Re: Interlux Brightsides question

The key is too apply the paint in very thin coats. Use a high density foam roller and apply the paint very thinly. I find those long white skinny foam rollers to be the best. Then tip with a good brush.

Depending on the color, you may need to apply 3-6 thin coats, but the results will be excellent.

I used those rollers, had no problem with them falling apart, maybe change them out more frequently. I did tip with a good brush, brand new $28 china bristle, but had problems with bristles falling out. I cleaned the brush about every 15 minutes.
