Interchangeable parts????

I have a 1979 Evinrude 15 HP motor with model # 15904E and serial # C7050179. I am looking for a bottom end and wanted to know what will fit this motor. Horsepower wise, will a 9.9 fit or anything greater than 15 HP? Will a few years fit or is it the same bottom end for a decade? Thanks in advance for any help.<br />Jay

JP....anything from a 77' to a 93' 9.9 or 15 will fit.

I think that includes Johnsons as well as Evinrudes.

From 77' to 93'? Wow, it is nice to actually have a little bit of flexibility in parts. So basically, a complete bottom end motor off of any 9.9 or 15 HP motor from 1977-1993 should just bolt on without any problems?<br />Thanks
