Follow up questions due to new/repeat symptoms, 2002 utopia 240 EFI,
there are wires between ECU and other modules, like the ignition module, can the ECU kill the spark, can the Ignition Module ( or any other module, like rev limiter) make the ECU do strange things, like failure to get beep when key turned on, or failure to run pumps when key turned on. all of these symptoms have come and gone and come again.
I removed the ECU and cleaned GND connections on module wire to manifold, and manifold to engine block. no change.
just want to explore all possibilities before chunking down $ for replacement ECU.
