Hello everyone, I have a problem with my engine: it seems that the intake manifold gasket is leaking. I notice fluid loss and a drop in engine performance, which is starting to be really annoying. I would like to avoid having to disassemble the entire manifold and spend a fortune at the garage. While looking for solutions, I came across sealants like Mechasmate https://www.mechasmate.com/products/head-gasket-fix, which are supposed to seal small leaks without disassembly. Before I start, I wanted to know if anyone here has already tried this kind of solution to seal a leak at the intake manifold. Does it last over time or is it better to go straight to replacing the gasket?
Thank you for your feedback and advice. I am interested in any tips to avoid a costly repair.

we have no idea what you are working on. so lets start there.

generally, with leaking gaskets, there is no magic miracle in a can.

Welcome
The stuff in your link is basically radiator stop leak

Folks have tried to use that kind of stuff for years. It coats everything in the motor and does stop a very small leak, the issue is it doesn't last. The other thing is it won't do a head gasket

VW's have used o-ring seals for decades on the intakes. they also do not run coolant thru their intakes, even the TDI marine motors. you have to be a bit more specific about your leaks.
