I recently re-powered with an older Evinrude. The motor is in great shape and runs fantastic and I'd like to keep it that way. I'm a little nervous about not being able to monitor water flow through this motor (it does not have a tell-tale) and would really like to install a water pressure gage.
Where is the best place to tap a hole into the water jacket? If whoever responds to this would kindly include a p/n from an exploded view drawing so I understand exactly where to drill, that would be greatly appreciated.
