I laid in my transom 2 weeks ago. did the job with the encapsulated 3/4 marine grade plywood.

thought I did a heckuva job, but noticed a hollow spot low and outside where no clamps could draw it together.

Its an 1/8-1/4 inch, void about the size of a dinner plate. I've been injecting with resin. The injection site hole is 18 inches above the waterline so no real worry there...

Anyone esle see this?

Is it a concern?

Sounds like it will be fine to me. Is it inboard or outboard powered? Either way, as long as the hole is sealed after injection it should be fine.

It is to be powered with a 1996 MERCURY (OWN THE WATER!) 115 2 stroke. I'll beef up thr insides of the transom too.

The holes for injection are 15 and 18 inches above the waterline at the upper corners of the transom.

Jason, I took alot of inspiration from the skanky beast project pictures- GOOD JOB.
