Initial Start-up

Spoke to Kevin at SK Speed..........he recommended using the higher pressure spring.
Any other opinions?

Got a new dipstick tube as the old one broke (corroded)) installed successfully.
Decided to leave the M%% pump installed as I already had the P/U tack welded to the pump.
I am back to where I was last w/e........hoping to start tomorrow and post a video!!

Adjusted timing w/ a real light.......used a Harbor Freight one yesterday.
Idle seemed to come down but still seems high; ~900.
Not sitting on the stop of the idle screw.

Thanks Lou..........can't say I wasn't nervous right before starting......but it fired right up w/ a little gas down the carb!!

Ayuh,.... Good idea,....

That's the job of the throttle cable,.... why ya adjust for a little bit of tension, against the stop,....
