Shouldn`t be a problem but remember to drain the block prior to refilling with A/F
Dont forget to pre-oil the motor too

That was my son.......he's quite strong as you can see.....he basically picked up the front of the engine by himself!!

Well I hope you put a tarp over it we got 5" of snow here!
when I replaced my exhaust I used Barr Marine and the sealing surfaces were machined perfect.

Right before adding oil I noticed I neglected to install the oil dip stick.
This required the removal of the starboard manifold.
When I went to install the tube it was blocked..........after many 4-letter words my son and I lifted the engine off my homemade cradle with the hoist and dropped the pan.........kinda knew what I was going to find.
I installed the windage tray incorrectly.........not a catastrophe but annoying!
After correcting that I rechecked the tube fitment......now it hits the oil pick up.
I replaced the oil pump and pick-up during the rebuild......the old one must have been different.
I installed a Melling M55 pump and 55S pick-up..........I know the previous one was also a Melling, not sure of the number.

Can anyone shed any light here?

Ordered a M55a pump and 55S1 pick-up today.........thinking that was installed previously.
M55A is a higher pressure pump and comes with a lower pressure spring...........should I replace w/the lower pressure spring?
