"What condition was the impellor in when you replaced it?

To answer this quesiton...
The impeller was in good shape. The only thing worn, was the bottom where the empeller touches the stainless steel plate. I don't think it was worn out, just showed signs of use.

The lake I normally go to does have a lot of alge, but the intake is clean.

As for the "yes, blow it back up the tube while running." I'll give it a try. I hope to get out on the lake tonight. Wish me luck.

Zebra mussels?? I think you need to get some temperature melt sticks and see if it's overheating. My 25 Mariner has intermittent waterflow when it's cold out(duck season) because the thermostat opens and closes. Do you notice water coming out of the exaust port?

Hey guys,
Sorry I haven't kept up on the replies. I had a more important issue come up. I hope to get out on the water this weekend and check things out.

Yes, a little bit of water is coming out of the exhaust port. This is normal right?

First of all is this engine overheating most of the time I run an engine with cover off at full throttle
and feel around and feel if it is hot or you can go
high tech and get a infared temp meter and shoot it around cylinders and see if its over heating most of the time it should be under 170 degrees if it is not overheating then you have a restriction in your pee
hole system . Anybody out there with absolutly
No common sense and are total idiots do not try feeling around as an engine can get hot!!!!!!!!
start with basics and dont throw parts at it.
Mark
