I arrived at werk this morning, picked-up my HT,turned it on, and headed for the time clock.Time;5:30AM

I heard our Marina security person make a emergency call to central security, saying a boat just exploded in it's slip, and the captain jumped overboard---injured.
I punched-in, and met with the security person, and EMS, Fire Dept, and Sherriff dept were also on scene. Being an irrigation tech, I kept way back from the area, but close enough to see what was happening.
Let this post bear whitness to the importance of venting engine/enclosed fuel compartments for 4 minutes before attempting to start!
The captain has second degree burns on his legs and arms, and first degree on his head.
Name of 29' PenYann vessel and captain being witheld to respect his privacy.
