In Search of a nice used inboard style boat hull without engine or blown engine

I tried a forum search but haven't had much success. In a nutshell, I have a 24 foot Mariah and the interior is in terrible shape and most likely beyond repair or what I want to spend to get it repaired. The boat has a Mercruiser 502 that runs like a champ, so I'm interested in finding a boat somewhere that had blown a motor, but still has a nice interior exterior etc. I'm willing to drive and haul one from anywhere and really don't know how to navigate or where to start. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If the hull of the boat you have is in good condition, a fresh new interior may give you another 10 years on that boat at relatively little cost.

At the very least, prior to going to the expense of buying another boat, I'd try to collect a couple of estimates to get what you have redone.

I'm struggling to believe you can buy another boat, do your engine swap, and get that boat sorted out cheaper than what an interior might cost.

Vinyl is only guaranteed to last 5 years max. Any boat over 15 years old should be considered a project

Agreed, a new interior on your existing boat is the cheapest project

The chances of finding a boat with a good interior and bad motor are slim.

Other than the seats, what is the rest of the boat like and how old is the boat? Any soft spots in the deck?
