I have a 1963 johnson 75HP motorthat has been in storage for 20+ years. Iwas advised to replace the impellor.I was wondering how much of a job that would be.Could I do it myself?
Yes, buy a manual, buy the parts, it might take you a couple hours the first time. Also helps to have a friend to help yoou a little, and to share a beer with when finished.
Anyone can do it that has basic hand tools and has a little mechanical aptitude. I will however strongly second Roscoe.....a manual IS A MUST.

I worked myself into a fenzy before my water pump/lower end seal change for nothing because it was no big deal!!! Have fun and save some $$
