Impeller Service Kit

So it's time for a new impeller in my 2001 Alpha One Gen II and I want to get all the right parts together before starting, but I am running into a few problem finding the right part. I want to use OEM parts, not aftermarket. But I get conflicting information regarding what is available.
The mercury marine parts dealer tells me I can buy just the impeller for $24 or the entire impeller repair kit with the housing and seals for $150.
Here at iboats, I can find a Sierra impeller service kit containing the impeller and seals for $23. I know from the previous owner's records that the impeller was changed out 3 years ago. As such, an entire repair kit seems overkill, but just an impeller seems inappropriate. For those of you with experience on this, am I on the right track with the extent of the replacement? Does anyone know if there is a mercury marine part number for an OEM service kit with the impeller and seals but no housing?

Thanks to everyone for the help.

Re: Impeller Service Kit

Since you don't know for sure I would use complete replacement kit.

Try boatfix.com....They carry OEM kit # 817275A4 for $88

Re: Impeller Service Kit

Get the OEM impeller kit, not the pump OH kit. Ask your Merc dealer for kit number 43026Q06, they are around 50 bucks. It's the impeller, gaskets, seals, wear plate, key, face seal and the installation tool. The face seal and installation tool is not included in the aftermarket kits.
