Impeller replacement

Getting ready to replace my water pump and haven't done one on this boat yet. Done one on a 85 johnson. And a few on a 15 johnson. Hoping it is more like the 15hp, any procautions to keep in mind? It is a 92 40hp

welcome to the iboarts forum. perhaps u could comment more on engine? make, size, yr, condition?

no doubt some engine specific help can be offered.

maybe when done u can post a how u did it and what u learned and had to do, etc. not all here are: Mariners

Finished the job. Had to pull the starter off to get to the shift shaft bolt,but other than that worked out good. That would make it more like the 85 hp where the connection is under the carbs and not in the lower part where the 15 hp is.
