Re: Impeller or thermostat problem?
Don't know specifically if it has one or not..

I can say this however, put the muff on, lots of water pressure.. and start it up, give it 30 seconds or so, and keep putting your finger on the cyl heads,, if they get to hot to touch for more then 5 seconds.. there is a problem..

if it hasn't run for ages, it may have a claggged impeller..

One thing I did with mine, it was initially blocked or partially obstructed, so I taped the water muffs on hard against the leg.. so there was little or no leakage at pressure.
then I ran it for 30 seconds, then cranked the water pressure right up (turned the tap on flat chat.) it blew out some crap and the cooling water did spring from the outlet..

anyway.. try it, all sorts of things end up in your cooling system if left uncovered for long periods of time.

rgds

Frank
