Is it o.k. to install a new impeller dry or should I grease it up. I am assuming dry is not a good idea so what kind of grease should I use? Just a basic marine grease?
I either read or was told to use dishwashing liquid. It works to lubricate the impeller as you are getting it into the housing, but will wash away clean when run.
