BAD , DON'T DO IT . THE HAMMERING OF THE IMPACT COULD BREAK THE MAGNETS GLUED TO THE FLYWHEEL LOOSE.

Iv done it a million times and never seen a magnet come off.. Usually the nut just spins right off. But do not install the nut with one. Use a torque wrench.

I've had to use an impact on the flywheel puller. It was the only way to get it off.

I do it all the time and have never had any problems, sure beats using a flywheel holder and using a big wench at the same time. While I,ve got the impact wrench I also pull the flywheel off . Seems to save alot of time. Could be that I,ll get bit someday though.

Ditto...I do it all the time too, but I must admit

does make a good point. Not only might it rattle them loose, but if you do it several times, you'll weaken the magnets. Taking the nut off usually comes on the first hit, so its no biggy, but when you rap a zillion time with a puller, there is risk involved.

just my small opinion :(
