Ignition coil above the modulator installation

3.0 Mercruiser Serial number 0L614291

Is there a reference I can look at that details what I need to do to replace the ignition coil (round part) above the modulator in the distributor?

I am going to replace the distributor cap, rotor, module, ignition coil above the module and coil itself with new Mercury parts.

It looks like I have to pull the distributor (which I have never done on a car or boat). Have replaced the other parts on the boat without a problem in the past.

Any advice?

WHY are you replacing all of that ??????????

I can understand a cap and rotor for basic tunup, but why all the rest of the stuff?

Sounds like you have a problem and just wanting to throw parts at it and hope to fix it.
