Hi,

I'm looking for a project. I've been looking for one or the other of these two boats. I'm sure that some of you have enjoyed both of them; an advantage that few of us mortals have.

If you had your choice....which boat would you prefer to re-build, own and enjoy?

I'd like your comments regarding quality of initial build, hull design, handling characteristics, ease of re-build, and; to a lesser degree...final value after restoration.

Just say that you found one of each of them in similiar condition sitting in a field....which would you choose to restore?

If you answer "BOTH!"...that's OK :)

OK Chuck, BOTH! Hee! Hee! I'm sure there's going t be plenty of opinions here but IMHO they are both great boats. Very classic lines but the G3 probably more so. They would both be great boats, If I had room for two I'd get them both.

The GT-150 is a great little boat. I had a orange '76 model with a 115 Johnson that would scoot. That was about 20 years ago though. Isn't that the boat that 007 jumped the road in (lol). Thanks, Steven

since I don't know what the G3 looks like, but I do know what the GT150 looks like, and that I'm Biased towards Glastron in the first place, I'm going to go with the Glastron for a fun boat to speed around on.

IMHO, a Glasspar G3 is one of the great classic boats from the 50's & 60's. If you pass on one, please PM me and let me know where it is. Roger Moore was never really James Bond.

I'd say both, lol! I have looked at both of them.....but I already have a small quick boat.....I need to add a big boat to my collections next for those 30mph wind in OK days....I did come across a G3 recently for sale and had to keep myself from buying it! I say get them both if you have room....then you can write a review thread on both :D!
