...who was born to fulfill the definition of the word 'buffoon', it was Algor. I watched some of his charade before Congress on global warming. He just glowed about his return to the hallowed halls.

If there was ever an individual who took up a cause to salvage his personal being, this is the specimen. I'm not sure how the following link treats him, but this is what it was all about. I'm sure you will see it given glowing acolades on your favorite Liberal Network News.

Re: If there ever was an individual.....

I have based my entire life on some tangibles.

1. Integrity.

2. A good credit rating, see #1.

3. Being honest and forthright. The latter has hurt me.

Ex-Vice President Gore has some "splainin" to do about the internet, Love Story and some other "Whoppers".

Credibility is not one of his virtues.

Ignore it, kiss it off, whatever you want to do but this guy is gaining credibilty among "new" politicians.

Those politiicians make LAW. Of which, we'll all have to live with.

So, Ho-hum. Ignore and reap.

Don’t know about love story ,are the other whoppers, that you are referring to but this one is pure BS.

Al Gore claiming that he invented the Internet
<<False.

Origins: Despite the derisive references that continue even today, Al Gore did not claim he "invented" the Internet, nor did he say anything that could reasonably be interpreted that way. The "Al Gore said he 'invented' the Internet" put-downs were misleading, out-of-context distortions of something he said during an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "Late Edition" program on 9 March 1999. When asked to describe what distinguished him from his challenger for the Democratic presidential nom>>

Denial of reality does not make it go away.
Al Gore introduced legislation dealing with the internet before any other member of congress used it.The Bush election dirt machine ridiculed him. So who was smarter?
Al Gore talked about global warming 30 years ago.
Gore is a man with a message and a vision. This is a lot more than we can say about any of the current would be presidents or the sitting president.
His vision goes well beyond partisan bickering and has a chance to unite this nation instead of separating the different groups even farther apart than they are today.
So please continue ridiculing him if you must, but short sighted ignorance is what usually leads to extinction of the species, while thinking ahead with a future vision unites a people and gives us a fighting chance to survive as a species.

Ahem...another believer spewing the gospel according to Al? Al is "en vogue" at the moment, so I understand your feelings.

Re: the internet, it was derived from military applications linking computers years ago. Al had nothing to do with it. Re: Al commenting on warming 30 years ago, in the 70’s everyone was talking about another mini ice age, no one mentioned warming to my knowledge. Al may say NOW that he mentioned it then, but methinks it is to cover his backsides. If you read something besides the “alleged scientific” evidence, you’ll find that there have been cyclical periods of warming and cooling for time immemorial. This is just another natural cycle. I suggest you read Bryson’s “history of everything”. He writes well and doesn’t have an axe to grind.

Finally, and in my mind this is all it takes, Al is PERSONALLY a great big horses butt. Two of the years I was on active duty I was farmed out to another government agency when I worked in DC. I knew uniformed and plainclothes gun toters in the USSS, some of whom were on the protective VPOTUS and POTUS detail. Al and Tipper were evidently practicing to make small Gores one night when they hit and knocked over the “dead man” switch on their nightstand. Gun toter rushed the room as trained. His reward for responding appropriately to his training? Demotion to uniformed division.

Algore is a phony. You heard it here….for the 123,984,847 time

Yeah, back when he was making a lot of money from tobacco, Occidental Petroleum and strip mining.

Your typical do as I say, not as I do kind of fella.

Oh, and lets not forget loosing his home state of Tennessee during his Presidential run. Seems the lack of credibility was great enough to turn his nieghbors away. A great accomplishment seeing he was an incumbent VP and all.

Paleface speakum with forkum tongue.

Murky, did you ever hear of the "High Performance Computing act" legislation of 1991 and did you know who the legislator is? hint. it is also called the Gore bill
google it and you will see that I do not smoke anything.
As for trying to make respectable people look ridiculous, you should leave that to politicians that have set up organizations that concentrate on spewing venom and who think nothing of destroying the careers of respectable people in order to get elected. to be more precise, like the politicians that vilified senator McCaine when he became a serious contender for the presidency a few years ago

Re: If there ever was an individual.....

Hey Rolmops, The "internet" was started formed etc. on or about 1973, (it was used in a very limited way by geeks n' scientests in those days). That said: I guess you do have a point, (that I will concede), as people do seem to give the Baffoon some credit for tryin' to start regulation prior to wide spread use by the general population later in the 1990s. I guess I shoulda known the people like Algore (who worship big nany government) would want to grow their, (governments' presence in the deal), as soon as the opportunity to interfer in something presents itself. I remember ol' Algore wanted to get an encription advantage, (at all of our expense), for big nany government when he was VP that Maria Cantwell stood up to him about, (thanks Maria), also in the early to mid 1990s. Now as to smoke, the rest of yer post prazing ol' Algore who IMHO is one of those who "will sell their mother to the devil in order to get elected", does indicate yer smokin' somthin' strong that ol' Murky wants ta try ta see if I could see the merits in ol' Algore's positions that you see. I thinks he is nuts! Now: where do I get some? Thanks for the reply! 8)8) JR, The ol' brian cell learned somethin' today thanks to you.
