There should be a lever on the side of the throttle that you lift or a button in the center of the pivot for the throttle handle, push the button in with it in nuetral and move the throttle forward, the buttom locks it out from going into gear but you get the timing advance, you will have to play with it to find the right spot, I have a 50 and it is kinda picky where that handle is.

Also watch once it starts, you want to keep the rpms under 1500, bump the handle back to lower rpms and just keep tapping the key till it will run on its own.

On mine I will hit the key then push in the choke for a second then release and keep tapping(literally tap) the choke till it fires, adjust rpm and tap the key till it runs, once you found the spot it likes on the advance mark it on the handle and throttle body so you can hit it everytime, there may be marks already ther you can use.

Try pushing in the pivot on the throttle, there should be a button there that you push and while holding it you move the throttle forward which gives you yur advance, never seen an older 2 stroke without one or the other an since there is no lever you lift it has to have the button.
