just got a basstracker boat with evenrude tracker 60 hp engine both 1993 models cant find fast idle leaver wondering if it came with hotfoot wouldn't thank so but could be is there a way to warm engine am i overlooking something thanks
Where are you looking? I've seen 4 different types of fast idles, if you are only used to seeing one the rest are a little tricky... By your comment I'm guessing you might be used to 1) below. That is the only one with a lever, the rest just disengage the shifting mechanism one way or another, and use the main throttle.
1) actual fast idle lever (older mercs, ended in 70's/early 80's maybe?)
2) pull the base of the shifter lever straight OUT and then push forward (newer mercs plus lots of others)
3) push the rubber 'button' in the base of the shift lever IN, and then push the shifter forward, (yamaha)
4) a small silver knob behind the throttle that you pull out, and then use the main throttle. (merc sportjet, some larger outboards, some I/O's)
