idle adjustment please explain

05 6 horse 4stroke idle adjustment just had carb rebuilt starts hard they told me to adjust idle screw does this make sence and how to do it

back out the idle mix screw just a tad. that will enrichen the mix at idle.

yes it does the diagram shows 13 I have that one

Its described in the parts list as "Screw, throttle stop" . I assumed that was the idle speed setting screw.

Read the plug. That will determine the mix setting. Check RPM in gear, that is the throttle stop setting.
