That is possibly a serial number there. Is there a small aluminum tag on the transom clamp with a model number on it? I just looked through my book and I can't find that number anywhere.
havenot found tag on leg is no 18805501b01 on transom mount but dont think that is number i need thanks for hint also am in australia would that make difference
Hey I had the same problem with my Evinrude 130. I took the freeze plug number, called Evinrude and they gave me the year and model on the spot. Give it a try.
I did not even fool around with the local dealer, I called Evinrude direct at
(847) 689-7090. Very helpful, bet I was not on the phone for more then 5 Min.
thanks tried ringing hunts marine they couldnt or wouldnt
tried brp they dont return ph calls or straight out wont answer phone
have found that motor is between 1990 and 1995 through searching part numbers. now all i need do is find wiring diagram to work out whether i can charge a battery from motor or not thanks all
also am in australia would that make difference
