I work in a repair shop, and we inevitably make loads of little scrap pieces of roving and byply that we can't use on anything. My local recycling place won't take it.

Is there a shredder or something that could chop this up into strands? Like csm, but loose strands. It would be great if we could use it.

there is no shredder that I know of, however i used an old paper cutter and a 6-pack of beer to spend an afternoon making a bucket of cut fibers to make some hairy PB

I did the same (minus the beer) and used it for bedding my deck in my boat. I ran out of milled fibers. So far so good.

Sounds like this might be the only way to get some use out of the scraps. Thanks.
