i have a 1990 vip 2.3 ford motor that had bad gas in it the guy befor me changed the coil and mest with the points so with that i put the right coil on it new and rebuilt the carb set the points .it starts good but when you give it gas it has a pop in the carb so not sure whats up. what is the right point gauge for this boat it has a mallory dist. in it also the two gray wires on the -side of coil when hooked up they cut the fire off thanks
