My 1996 4.3 LX Gen + has an outdrive (0F709008), I do not know if the adding a hydrafoil would help planing or hole shotting for tubing/skiing would be better? I have no idea where to to start for size so any advice or help would be great!

If you're looking for better holeshot and to get up on plane faster get these...http://www.nauticusinc.com/smart_tabsSX.htm. They're only about $100 and they really work well. There are a ton of threads about these tabs and I have them on my boat with NOTHING bad to say about them.

yep, we're all in total agreement here...smart tabs worked as advertised on my old 20' Fiberform. Save your money and forget the whaletail hydrofoil doodad

Hydrofoil generally recognized to be ineffective vs tabs.
