Uhm,... that can be antifouling bottom paint, new gel coat, epoxy paint,... ,... . What codition is "the bottom" in all scraped and gouged, or just cosmetically scuffed?
Some more information would be helpful.
The bottom has been painted couple times before from previous owners so he's going to have to remove paint. Bottom hull good shape just previous paint is chipping and flaking from water line down. He's also painting all the way up to the rub rail he said he's going to do two layers paint, epoxy and Prime. He's going to be using all Marina paint. My boat 1988 Marlin sportfisher.
removing the paint is a lot of labor..... about 25-30 hours of sanding and prep. at about $100 per hour, that is most of your cost. the materials will be another $600-$1000
if you want it done cheaper, get a 7" DA with a big arse compressor and some 80 grid pads and start sanding
