Scarface nice boat. Love the blue.

Thanks! I won't lie, it was a huge (and VERY expensive) job but she looks like factory. I have no t seen a a cleaner C27. Looking to upgrade to a C34, so gotta sell her (Blue Moon). :(

Any ideas on bottom paint for fresh water? Do I need antifoul for fresh water? Hard ,soft, It's entirely to many different kinds of bottom paint! My budget says Krylon!! haha not really but close.

Aight bottom is clean , no blisters or peeling paint blows my mind! All the soft paint is gone a lil was left at water line before cleaning and sanding. It looks like a coat of gray hard paint on gellcoat ,,,,,can I put a coat of basic rustoleum enamel on and let it ride? Gona be in the water all the time but fresh water. Not worried about the looks and slime just dont want it all oozing off and geting on the slip neighbors boat!!

If it's going to be in the water, spend a little extra cash on some good bottom paint. I had a 27 foot catalina on Lake Erie. If you have a good coat of bottom paint, makes future cleanings much easier. In fresh water, just a power washer once a year. I used to paint mine about every three years. Would only take about 1 gallon. In between a quart for touch ups. A quart would take me through two season. Since this one hasn't been done in a while, may take you two gallon. I would start with one, then if it's not enough, buy another. For decent paint, you are only looking at about $120 a gallon. I used to pick it up on sale for about $99 a gal. Even at two gallons (about $240 bones), it's worth the investment. You put just enamel on there, and you will have a mess in about 6 months. Just my two cents (worth about $0.0000001 in todays economy).

Most folks use antifouling in fresh water....ask a few locals who have boats in the lake your planning on keeping it and they can probably steer you to the best for the area..If you don't use AF paint, you will have algae growing on the bottom and it will slow you down quite a bit.....

I painted the bottom with Aquaguard? Its a soft paint $70 a gal. I put 2 coats on, 3 at waterline. It looks great I'm working on pics now. It was cheap and I seen good reviews on it so we will see... I put an Everstar heat-A/C unit in!! Redone floors and interior cushions. Buffed sides, repainted boot stripes, waiting on 70 deg.s to spray from rub rail up them im going to the lake!!!!

I would suggest a good bottom paint unless you want to clean the algae off every month.....The gray is probably interlux barrier coat so try not to sand it too much............:)

Re: I want a floating camper ?

Wife and I got bit by the same bug

First I bought this 1981 23 foot Venture Cutter (Macgregor) for $1200 and it is in great shape

Then, within a week I scored this 25 ft Pearson, it is NOT in great shape...but it was so cheap including paperwork and dual axle trailer
SANY2603.jpg

Plans are to put the 23 on the pearson Trailer...

Stripped a bunch of rigging off the Pearson, and plan to put the Hull back on CL for $400 (It has an inboard motor, not locked but condition unknown) without the trailer...

The pearson could be "restored" into a nice cheap "motor yacht" I believe

good luck in your search
