You can try using a Bayliner seat key or a universal boat seat key, which are often compatible with similar models. If those don’t work, you may need to contact a Bayliner dealer for assistance or check your boat’s manual for specific instructions. Good luck, and I hope you get it sorted soon!

there are probably one of the two standardized seat bolt patterns on the bottom of the seats in the picture and the seat is bolted in place (derived from Springfield seating's pedestals).

I will also ask, whats a seat key? Brunswick seating in 1996 came from the Garelick Seating facility in Largo Florida, which became Attwood seating, which became brunswick seating and was sold to Patrick Industries in late 2020 to become TACO Seating in early 2021.

the seats in the picture have been swapped. it says so in the advertisement you have screen shot from your phone. here is the screen shot of the add from the dealer whose web page you pulled the prints from

they appear to be wise fishing seats, however they could also be amazon as they have aluminum hinges and look like the cheap china seats from amazon.

the stock quantum seats looked like this.

Google results turned up one seat pedestal key. I've never seen any kind of seat key though. I can see it for high dollar models, might be something that isn't really in this area. Some of those folding seats can be pretty stiff, it might just take a good yank.

Yes, a universal boat seat key can often do the trick for similar models. They’re inexpensive and easy to find online or at marine supply stores. Hope that helps!
show me a $100 seat that uses a key for anything. the seats in the first post are entry level replacment seats. a universal boat key is nothing but a means to get your gas cap off.

Thanks for the update! If the Jonard Tools TTK-225 P Key works for your pedestal lock, it could be a great solution. Sometimes those stiff seats do just need a bit of force, but it’s always good to check for the right key to avoid damage. Let us know if you get it sorted!

You make a good point—it's true that most entry-level replacement seats don’t typically use a key for anything. The idea of a "universal boat key" might be more about fuel caps or similar components rather than seat-specific locks. If the seats are stiff or stuck, giving them a firm yank could very well be the solution. Thanks for clarifying!

First the OP is not talking about the pedestals (ones that sit on them when fishing) and second a pedestal lock is a type of lock, two different items. Pedestal locks are used on office cabinets/desk to lock all drawers with one lock

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting that key was a sloution for fold down seats. I just googled universal boat seat key because I've never heard of one.
