I have a 1986 johnson 40hp I was riding along when i heard a sound that sounded like a boom it did not feel like I hit anything and then the boat would not move, the engine was sounding real good, when I got home I tried putting in foward gear and would not go but I could get it in reverse when I did I turned the prop and heard and felt like something was broken, still could not get in foward position I did bump the power head several times but to no avail. Can anyone tell me what the problem would be? Thanks GUY
