Well i stuck some marine grade silicone around the transom and drain plug and not a single drop of water got in the boat this evening. I guess this will get me through the rest of the season and then I get to do the big rebuild.

It will be just fine....you've been driving around with it like that for who knows how long....you have a better chance of winning the lottery than your transom failing withni 2 weeks of discovering you have a little rot.

Well you have a good holiday weekend!! Don't forget to flip on your bilge pump more often than your used to, Have a good time but also be more aware.

That did occur to me, and I thank you for re assuring me. I am just SUPER anal about everything and I tend to over think. Just wait till I rebuild this think. It will be better than new.

This last winter I rebuilt our shower in our house due to rot. A tornado could level our house and that shower would still be standing.

Transom rebulid is a good winder project...thats how I spent my last winter

Have a nice relaxing long weekend on the boat. Get plenty of rest. You'll need it for the task ahead. Don't forget to toast the transom that has served you well.
