I will say that I have the best of both worlds with the guys that are going. One guy races snowmobiles as his primary hobby. Has like 15 different sleds and has a number of sponsors. He is the guy looking over the sled I am buying. He is 31. Speed nut - but has been doing this his entire life. The guy I buying it from is about 55 and has the need for speed. But is getting alittle older and is going to more of a "cruising" type sled. (Not exactly sure what that means.) A co-worker of mine who is 62 and loves sled and would be my guide into the sport. This is the same guy that got me going into pheasant hunting and I am getting alot of enjoyment out of it. My boss will be going and he has jet ski's and is a huge tourny fisherman out of Brick NJ. Jim is a hell of a great guy, (I wouldn't have taken the job I have if I didn't know in advance I would be reporting to him) but knows less about snowmobiling than I. As he is the head banana, and I suspect that he will be the slowest but the one guy they won't leave in the woods as he cuts all the best deals for these guys. Can you imagine a guy from NYC that talks like tony saprano being lost in the woods of the UP? Then there are two of our big dealers that would go as well who I have no idea of their experience or riding style. I am hoping as these are mature men who have been doing this for years that they won't let me die in the woods. (I hope)<br /><br />As you can tell, I am getting quite a pant load just thinking about doing this (buying a sled). And I got Ann's buy in to do this. I think I can store my sled right on a trail at my brothers house who is a snowmobile rider, that is over 100 miles long and runs from Madison WI to the Mississippi river. I want as much practise as possible. But in reality I just want to have fun. Jan, Feb, March can be three terribly long months and I need to keep my mind busy or I will go nuts!!!
