I'm done.<br />No more fishin for me this year.<br />Too darn cold out there, clouds, wind, rain, low temps, 30's - brrr.<br /><br />I stayed on the water less than an hour today, fogged the engine, and winched it onto the trailer.<br /><br />I will be tucking her in for her winter rest.

Same here Roscoe..Although I'm kicking my self now..went fishing the other day and it was cold and dreary so I put her down..Since then the temps have been in the 60s and 70s..come march she wil be out for another romp and a summer of fishing..

81* ten days ago, snowing today...what's it all mean.....on the plus side I bought a new galvanized easy loader trailer for my 12 Alaskan. Can't be all bad.

Oh you people south of the border giving up fishin becuase you are in the 30's. I'm up in Canada and I'm still fishing. <br /><br />My fishing boat is still in the water!!!!!<br /><br />It's coming out next weekend because fishing season is closed Nov 15 to last weekend in April.....<br /><br />Or I would fish 'till freeze up......<br /><br />Joe

Man what a day, its November 2nd and I got a sunburned on the lake today. Its just not right, but I am not complaining well maybe the Crappie and Bass werent biting today. But was still better than a day of work. This will probably be the last trip until the mid december tournament. But at least I got one more nice day on the lake. Sorry to hear you had to give it up, but soon enough it will be back to warm weather and you will be launching again. <br /><br />Matt

I am waiting for winter here in OK. Went trout fishing sunday and caught one fish all day. was sweating all day long. too hot. last winter would catch 20 or more in one day. have had days where would catch uup to 50. I am waiting for the cold weather.

Well, now everything is coated in ice, roads, cars, etc. Supposed to be messy all week. So I guess I put her away just in time. I hope the motor drained out.

When I was a young man, it took 2 to fish in Canada. One to drive the motor and one to break th ice in front of the boat with a 6 foot piece of steel pipe. Once out of the shore ice on Hamilton bay or up in the Kawartha Lakes area, you got to fish. When it was too tough for everyone else, it was just right for me and my partner. Haven't changed much. Just a little slower doing it. Went through a few partners though. nevjb

I fish year round. I get out my ski jacket and gloves of course but usually temps in the 40's-50's in western Wa this time of year. Heck, the King season doesn't open on Puget Sound until Nov. 1.<br /><br />Jerry

Well, I've got to deal with ice covered ramps, protect the outboard from freeze-up, and don't have a heated storage shed.<br />We have had single digit lows, and highs in the teens and low twenties. The smaller ponds are already froze over. I have fished Green Bay and Lake Michigan in mid November, but enough is enough.<br /><br />Probably be able to ice fish in 3-4 weeks, the way the weather has been this year.

Sorry guys, I'm going tomorrow! Well later this morning. The wife wants to take another boat ride, and she won't want to go fast, cause she'll be cold. So I will anchor in the sun, she'll cast or read, and I will get to practice chunking lures! Sorry so many of your seasons are through. Yall can come down and go with me!

ok, this is the 3rd time(i think) that i've seen this. i am really getting worried now. it appears that all those who endure the frozen over lake also are curious as to just how nice it really is down south...<br /><br />its getting cold! do not come down here! if you're used to being comfy in 100 degree summer days, then hellya its cold. its low 40s here lately

Yeah Roscoe, I was hoping to get out one more time, but I haven't had the time with the car repairs, kitchen, bathroom and new boss. I got the storms on last weekend. The thermometer said 0 degress F last weekend at 5:00AM. That darn aluminum ladder sure was cold on the hands. My lawn tractor battery is shot and I still have my last mow/leaf mulch to do.

Call me diehard but I am going tomorrow About 9 of us guys from the local fishing forum are going to meet and have a little pick up tourney on lake nockamixon. Temps in the low 40's early but what the heck. That will be about it for me after that, I will run some stabil through her and put her into hibernation
