I noticed I had milky oil when I checked dipstick. Last thing I did was clean the riser and replaced gasket. It never overheated. Ughhh

Ughh, when I went to check the oil in the dipstick just now, it was milky. The last thing I did was clean the riser chambers and I changed the riser gasket. I'm going to dump the oil now. Any suggestions on what I should check, the plugs etc? It runs fine but the oil is milky. The engine has never overheated, but wh n I shut it off I heard a low clicking sound inside the engine. Arghhhhhhhhh.

The plugs, the gasket and the riser look fine. Should I drain the new oil, and then add new oil again, so it will be changed twice. It's still a lil milky... Or what's the procedure when you have water in the crankcase. How doe you get it all out?

I just went through this with mine, same motor. I changed the oil, put in the cheapest oil I could find and added sea foam. Ran it at the dock five minutes and dumped the oil again. Put in fresh good oil and filter. What mine was the exhaust flapper was shot allowing the inrush of the water into the riser and getting into the oil. Now it’s fine with the new flapper.

I took out the boat for 3 hours yesyerday, and I also ran it in dry land for at least an hour, the motor oil looks fine. Guess it was from the riser issue I had previously.

How does water get from above the pistons to below?
